According to the Centers for Disease Control and RECENTLY CONFIRMED POSITIVE tests from local patients to 7-Day Clinic, influenza is ON THE RISE.  CDC website states "Influenza activity is increasing in the United States." This week's CDC FluView reports the national percentage of respiratory specimens testing positive for influenza was 15.5 percent. This is the second consecutive week this number has been above 10 percent; generally a marker to indicate that flu season is beginning.
